The A.C.E. curriculum is written in work/text
format called PACEs. Most PACEs are generally from twenty-seven to forty-three pages in length. There are twelve
PACEs in each subject per year. Students work in a minimum of five subjects -- Math, English, Social
Studies, Science and Word Building with Bible thoroughly integrated into all subject matter. Parents may choose
from a wide variety of electives at an additional cost.
The curriculum is self-instructional, individualized,
and academically sound. Since each child in your home has different learning styles and mental capabilities, it is important
for you to use individualized materials that recognize each child’s individual strengths and weaknesses. PACEs
are bite-sized units of self-instructional
materials in which a student
works toward specific, understandable
goals. The A.C.E. PACEs
use grade-appropriate vocabulary,
which means no word is used until
it has been first introduced
and defined. The PACEs
introduce one concept at a time,
and each concept is visualized
and illustrated with examples. As
your child progresses through
each activity he/she has the
opportunity to go back over the
information and examples until
it is totally understood.
